In the past two issues we've had The Green Goblin and Kraven the Hunter. After those smashing issues, can The Amazing Spider-Man #16 possibly keep up? We're going to find out as we dive into today's issue, featuring Spider-Man's first team up with Daredevil, and the menacing villain The Ringmaster!

Spider Monday - Amazing Spider-Man #14

Hey, and welcome back to another week and another issue of The Amazing Spider-Man! This week, we have issue fourteen, and I'm going to have to ask a favor of my readers. I don't do this often, but this week is important. As you read through my recap this week, I have to ask that you pretend you have no idea who the Green Goblin is. This issue is the first time that he's introduced to the Marvel Universe and fights Spider-Man, and at this point he had the potential to be just another villain. In fact, a cameo by The Incredible Hulk gets almost as much space on the cover! Oh, how little they knew. For this week, however, let's approach The Green Goblin as an entirely new character and dig into this issue!

Spider Monday - Amazing Spider-Man #13

I have to say, one of the most entertaining aspects of reviewing all of these issues is seeing where all of the classic villains come from. For the most part, it's astounding to see how little they had to change in order to last in the modern age, from their costumes to their origin stories. Mysterio has always been a little bit hit or miss, with some great stories and some terrible ones, but this is my first time reading through his origin issue. Let's take a look and see if it this is a mark in the win column for Mysterio!

Spider Monday - Amazing Spider-Man #11

In another week, we'll have journeyed through the first year of The Amazing Spider-Man together, and it's been a heck of a ride so far. This issue, we have the return of Doctor Octopus, who first made his appearance in the third issue of this comic, which means he waited eight issues to come back! So far, that's a record! This is a big issue in a lot of ways as it helps to continue building the legacy of Spider-Man that is still followed today, so let's not waste any more time! Bring on Doc Ock!

Wow, has it been ten weeks already that I've been reviewing every The Amazing Spider-Man? We're closing in on the very first year of the adventures of Pete and Evil Overlord May, and it's been a heck of a ride so far. We've met some iconic villains, a living but not living brain, and even watched in awe as Peter conquered glasses! Now, we're moving on to a new group of villains. As the cover promises, "Never has anyone fought such merciless foes as.. The Enforcers!" Is the tag true to its word? Let's find out!

Spider Monday - Amazing Spider-Man #9

Welcome to my ninth review of The Amazing Spider-Man, which just happens to also be the ninth issue! What a coincidence! I was left disappointed after last issue, featuring The Living Brain, but I'm hoping we can get back on track. This issue features the first appearance of Electro, who goes on to become a long-time Spider Foe. How does he do on his first appearance? Let's find out!

Spider Monday - Amazing Spider-Man #8

This is kind of a special review of The Amazing Spider-Man. See, this is the first original review I'm writing for Fine Vintage Reviews. All of the ones up until now were cribbed from my old project, creatively titled Every Amazing Spider-Man Reviewed, which was just too limited to keep me interested. I'm really enjoying putting them back up, and also looking forward to getting back into writing about the exploits of Evil Overlord May and her hapless nephew. Today, we get to kick some glasses' butt, fight Flash Thompson, and discover the menace of The Living Brain.
