Spider Monday - Amazing Spider-Man #10

Wow, has it been ten weeks already that I've been reviewing every The Amazing Spider-Man? We're closing in on the very first year of the adventures of Pete and Evil Overlord May, and it's been a heck of a ride so far. We've met some iconic villains, a living but not living brain, and even watched in awe as Peter conquered glasses! Now, we're moving on to a new group of villains. As the cover promises, "Never has anyone fought such merciless foes as.. The Enforcers!" Is the tag true to its word? Let's find out!

Spider Monday - Amazing Spider-Man #7

After an introduction to the all-new, all-dangerous Lizard last issue, this time around Lee and Ditko are answering the requests of the fans and bringing us another exciting adventure of the Vulture. Where he only had half a comic before, now he has a full adventure of his own spanning an entire 22 pages. Will the character be compelling enough to make it work? Spoiler Alert: Yes. Still, the fun is in the details, so let's take a look at the adventure for ourselves and see if Vulture's crimes can't be stopped! Also, who knew that the Spider Parachute tag would make a second appearance?? Bizarre.

Spider-Monday - Amazing Spider-Man #1

Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. You're going to hear that a LOT in this blog, because these two are the geniuses behind Spider-Man. The storyline, the character, the dialog, and most importantly the costume came from these two men, and have survived for decades despite some trying very hard to destroy them (*cough* the nineties *cough*). What's amazing *no pun intended* about Spider-Man is how quickly the basis for the character is developed, and how long it has lasted. Superman has had three origin stories alone in the 2000s, while Spider-Man has always failed to stop a robber that killed his Uncle Ben.
